Traditional 1930’s semi-detached villa, located within the Shrublands area of Berkhamsted. Internal Alterations and Two Storey Side / Single Storey Rear extension including Loft Conversion and rear garden landscaping to created desirable sizeable family home with high end finishes throughout.
Whole house refurbishment of traditional 1930’s semi-detached property. The entire property was stripped back to a shell, to allow internal alterations, re-location of kitchen to large lowered single storey rear extension [approx. 50sqm] with vaulted ceiling and rooflights over the open plan kitchen / dining area.
Internally, the entire property was upgraded, with new kitchen and utility room installations installed by Herringbone House, with hand painted bespoke cabinetry to complement the interior colour pallet using Fired Earth paint.
First floor alterations included installation of a two storey side extension with front dormer to create a large family bathroom, designed by Watermark Luxury bathrooms with bespoke tiles supplied by Porcelain Superstore. All bedrooms were fully re-decorated and fitted with new fire doors, and brushed antique brass hardware throughout.
Second floor alterations including replacement roof, with new rear dormer, clad in composite cladding with french doors allowing stunning views over the valley. A new master suite, with en-suite facilities and bespoke wardrobes was installed, with bespoke tiling from Mandarin Stone.
Heritage style glazing to rear extension provided a contemporary aesthetic with soldier coursing to brickwork above, and a vaulted ceiling design, with a bank of oversized rooflights over the dining space to create sense of volume. Internal crittal screens complement the sliding doors, opening to the patio. By lowering the extension, better access to the garden / patio level was gained allowing better use of the rear spaces now integrated with rear snug and utility / WC.
